K%

PERFECTING THE BALANCE BETWEEN STRUCTURE AND FUNCTION IN FURNITURE, WITHOUT THE UNNECESSARY DISTRACTION OF NEW MATERIALS, TECHNIQUE AND COLOUR.

In 2012, we started a furniture company inspired by the same kind of design thinking that defines Nendo, Japan's top product design studio founded by Oki-Sato. The K% collection challenges the way one thinks about the surrounding environment with design that is accessible and affordable without a compromise in quality. The result is a transformation of people’s interaction with everyday objects with work that is deceptively simple, yet complex in its innovative conception and production.

For our first collection, Wallpaper's Designer of the Year 2012, Oki-Sato helmed the art direction for the pieces while we managed the communication design, press and the exhibition space. Singaporean design firms Studio JuJu and Exit Design also contributed one item each to the collection.  As it evolves, K% will involve contributions from different designers.  The collection made its debut at the Salone Milan 2012, Tortona Design Week and it was presented in an old Italian garage.
